Word has it that Sudler Sotheby’s International Realty has bought Hot Property, the independent brokerage started by Chaz Walters.
Chaz got famous locally buying billboards around town that featured his coiffed mug, coat casually slung over his shoulder, with suggestive taglines like “Expose yourself.” The quirky marketing campaign made Chaz a household name in the city, and he eventually started his own brokerage, continuing the “Hot Property” brand. Chaz began licensing negotiations last fall with Warner Brothers Television after they launched “Hot Properties,” a sitcom chronicling the lives of four “unpredictable” women selling real estate in Manhattan (yes, they were hot). The show, however, wasn’t, and ABC cancelled it after a couple of months.
Sudler has offices in Streeterville, Lake View, Old Town, North Center and the South Loop. Hot Property has operated from an office at 2754 N Clybourn Ave, and is scheduled to open a second street-level office at 213 N Stetson Ave, on the New East Side.
