Take a long, hot shower at 1907 N Burling

1907 N Burling

There will be no fighting over who left the toothpaste uncapped or who’s hogging the shower at 1907 N Burling (pictured above on the right), a single-family, custom-built home in Lincoln Park marketed by the McNaughton Group for just shy of $4 million. The six-bedroom house has 7.1 bathrooms according to the McNaughton page and eight bathrooms according to this brochure (pdf) – six full baths and two “elegant powderooms.” Imagine the peaceful mornings: six of your relatives could be in separate showers, and two could be powdering their noses. In a house this fancy, with heated sidewalks and an elevator, one assumes the hot water won’t run out.

High-end features abound at 1907 N Burling, but we’re obsessed with the baths: most have custom vanities with undermounted sinks, marble counters, six-jet whirlpool tubs, Grohe faucets and heated floors (you’ll never step on a cold surface in this house). The master bathroom, the largest of the bunch, is 13 by 13 feet. That’s probably big enough to spread out a yoga mat or install a comfy chair – or to invite the family in for a little r&r.
