“You don’t have to go too far in your own neighborhood to find something cool.” Ain’t it the truth, though? In this case, Rogers Parker Larry Shure was speaking about his neighborhood in a story in today’s Chicago Tribune relating his effort to create a booklet called “Ultra Local Geography.” Shure has obsessed over Rogers Park on a minute level, and since that’s our MO at Yo, hats off to him.

The booklet is available at two retail locations in Rogers Park, but the Trib being the Trib, the reporter wouldn’t say where (Click “Comments” below and let us know, if you can). Meanwhile, check out some more fun Rogers Park minutiae – YoChicago’s Rogers Park Photo Gallery (sample above), some older photos from the Rogers Park / West Ridge Historical society, our Rogers Park journal, New Homes Magazine’s Rogers Park profile and info on the upcoming Rogers Park Garden Walk.
