I rarely venture outside without a camera, but I didn’t have one with me earlier today as I headed for lunch with my daughter, at HopHaus, a block from our office in River North.
We spied an inflatable rat outside a new restaurant in the commercial space at Flair Tower, a recently-completed rental high-rise. A picketer from Cement Masons Local 502 informed me that a non-union concrete contractor was involved in the project.
The restaurant’s deliciously ironic name: Union.
