Developer says his condos are at "the center of the north shore"

When you bill your condo project as “The Residences of The Center of the Northshore” (sic), you’d better be able to back it up. Developer Edward Renko says his new 72-unit project, at the corner of Skokie Boulevard and Dundee Road in Northbrook, lives up to the moniker both geographically and psychologically. The nine-story building will include retail such as fashion and eyewear boutiques and the site, known as The Center of the Northshore, also will have seven or eight restaurants, hotels, wide promenades, fountains and an ice-skating rink. The project overlooks the Chicago Botanic Gardens and features one- to three-bedroom condos priced from the $400s to about $1.75 million. Finishes include granite countertops, stone bathrool tiles, Grohe faucets and solid-core doors. Kitchen appliance options range from standard GE Profile to Wolf and Sub-Zero as upgrades.

So whaddya think? Center of the north shore?
