A first look inside the 1345 Wabash design center

CMK has a history of creating architecturally distinctive high-rises that are, according to NewCity Design, “a relief from the so-so-ness of neighboring condo buildings.”

At 1345 Wabash in the South Loop CMK has once again teamed up with Brininstool + Lynch, an architecture firm “credited with breathing new life into Chicago’s modernist tradition.”

A sales and design center for 1345 Wabash recently opened at 1620 S Michigan, also a CMK / B+L collaboration. The design center showcases CMK’s approach to 1345 Wabash: delight the value-conscious buyer with an unexpectedly high level of style and finishes. Visitors to the design center can get a first-hand look at brands they may have only encountered in upscale shelter magazines: Florense cabinetry, Duravit floating vanities, Grohe fixtures, TOTO toilets and TransCeramica architectural tile.

Construction is underway at 1345 Wabash, with occupancy slated to begin a year from now. One-bedroom condos are pre-completion priced from $219,900 and two-bedrooms from $289,900. Floor plans, detailed specifications and more information can be found at the 1345 Wabash website.
