An insider tip for renting in a newly-built apartment tower

New apartment high-rises in Chicago typically begin completing units from the lower floors to the higher ones. The first residents often begin moving into the lower floors months before the top floors are ready for occupancy.

“Residents who apply early in the leasing cycle for a new high-rise have the greatest selection of layouts and views,” notes Sherri Cuda, Director of Leasing for Magellan Development. “They can also lock in months in advance at a favorable pre-release rent.”

Magellan recently began pre-leasing apartments at Wolf Point West, the striking new luxury tower on the iconic Wolf Point site where the main, north and south branches of the Chicago River converge.

“We’ll be moving in our first residents in January, but the top floors won’t be completed until mid-April,” Cuda reported. “People can lease now for May occupancy for homes that have spectacular views and will be in high demand once they’re completed.”

Wolf Point West is a pet-friendly, high-amenity, high-service community. Floor plans, and near real-time rent and availability info for near-term occupancy, can be accessed online.

Appointments can be made by calling 844-WPW-RENT (844-979-7368) or by email at leasing@wpwrent.com.
