My plans to shoot the views from the sundeck at Park Michigan were disrupted by the weather – cloudy and gloomy. I opted for some close-ups of what’s close by the South Loop apartment tower.
Jewel-Osco and Trader Joe’s are steps from the sundeck grills.
Target, the Shops at Roosevelt Collection, and Whole Foods are within walking distance of the CTA stops a block west of Park Michigan.
The view immediately east looks out on the Agora sculptures, the new skate park under construction, and the Metra Electric Line stop in Grant Park that provides service to Hyde Park, the University of Chicago and points south. In the foreground are shelters serving some of the many bus lines that criss-cross the area.
The view further east along Roosevelt Road stretches past Lake Shore Drive to the Shedd Aquarium and Museum Campus.
The sundeck is one of the new amenities at Park Michigan. There’s also a new Snap Fitness on-site, a resident lounge and a business center.
