Winnetka new construction

We present, for your consideration, a Winnetka example of the architectural style that we’re calling “Tinley Park-revival.”

Defining characteristics of the style include a balcony-like appendage, cheap windows that clash with each other and with the thrust lines of the home, and inappropriately lavish use of stone.

The stonework here lacks the riotous color combinations that characterize the best examples of Tinley Park-revival, but the occasional salmon-colored tile playfully pays homage to tradition.

The mysteriously-sized dormers are, we think, a nice touch.
