Designing for a cure at 565 Quincy

by Joseph Askins on 10/7/09

Through Sunday, Oct. 11, four newly furnished lofts and condos will be open for public viewing at 565 Quincy, Belgravia Group’s combo loft conversion / high-rise development at 565 W Quincy St in the West Loop. The seasonally themed showpiece was coordinated by real estate agent and interior designer Lauren Schreyer as part of a fund-raising event for her nonprofit organization Design for a Cure. Other designers and vendors contributing to the event included Design Studio, Mitchell Putlack Interiors, Roche Bobois, and Room & Board.

I ran into Schreyer in 565 Quincy’s Q Room while attending a broker open house at the development, and we discussed both the background and mission of Design for a Cure and the design and furnishing trends going in and out of style in today’s residential market.
