From the vault: Kass and the castle

News that Rudy Acosta’s infamous castle on the Kennedy is on the market had us digging back into the Tribune’s video archives for this gem: columnist John Kass’ interviews with a few miffed Irving Park residents. The 7,000 square-foot, 42-foot-high home at 3721 N Parkview Terrace started going up in 2006, but Acosta — described as a “onetime head of a Chicago hip-hop recording company,” a “private security” entrepreneur, and “politically connected tough guy” — never actually moved in.

Beverly Fishman of Prudential Rubloff has listed the home for $1.89 million.
