Trump's ego spills over onto sidewalk

Trump Tower

Today, the Chicago Tribune raised a stink about a little harmless kiosk outside the Wrigley Building. Okay, so it’s 10 feet tall and 4.5 feet wide. And it’s “topped by very shiny silver letters that spell out Trump International Hotel & Tower.” And it’s basically a giant Trump billboard parading itself as tourist information (there’s an area map on one side and directions to the riverwalk at the base of the Trump). The Trib calls this “an unwarranted commercial intrusion in the public way,” but hey, Trump’s got to get the word out. How else would anyone know the mammoth 92-story high-rise even existed? If Trump thinks a giant billboard in the middle of the sidewalk is the way to move product, we should just go with it. After all, the guy hosts a seminar on this. If any of yo’all are out and about this weekend and happen to snap a picture of this glorious monument to marketing, pass it along.
