Puppy love in the South Loop

Ok all you crazy mutt-loving South Loopers, never let it be said that Yo isn’t good to you. Today we pay tribute to the dogs of the South Loop, as seen on the South Loop Dogs Web site, where you’ll find a rogue’s gallery of dog mugs.

Yo’s truly had hours of fun checking out the pooches of the South Loop, from Abba to Zorro. Meet Pupparazzi, the Italian greyhound, and Cornflake, whose floppy skin folds and forlorn looks lead us to believe he’s a shar-pei. Then there’s Beauregard, the grandly-named basset hound; and several Wrigleys of various breeds. It must suck to be a cat in these parts.

While we’re on the subject of South Loop dogs, does anyone have any theories about why so many high-rise residents own dogs – and big ones, at that?
