Never mind, 2010 is the year of price cuts

by Joseph Askins on 1/20/10

Granted, we’re still just 20 days into the new year, so maybe it’s not wise to start declaring a theme for the year just yet. But here’s a thought: While we may be right about 2010 being a good year for deals on condo rentals, it’ll be a huge year for across-the-board price cuts. Just look at what we’ve seen in the past three weeks: new prices at 565 Quincy, 1600 Museum Park, Astoria Tower, and Union Row. Yesterday we received an e-mail from 757 Orleans @ Chicago promoting two-bedroom condos priced as low as $350,000, which is lower than we’ve seen for two-bedrooms at that development.
