Sales update: Eight homes remaining at Six North May

This is more an introduction than an update, simply because we haven’t covered Six North May up to this point, but you might be interested to hear that this mid-rise at the corner of Madison and May streets has hit the 50-percent sales mark.

Eight of RMR Partners‘ 16 condos are still on the market, says Michael Schnell, a Realtor with Koenig & Strey GMAC Real Estate. The two-bedroom / two-bath homes are priced from the $380s to $430s.

Four condos per floor means every buyer gets a corner unit. Each condo has a balcony – some overlook Madison and May, others face north and west toward nothing in particular – and penthouse units have their own rooftop decks. (Residents on the lower floors can still party up top on a common-area deck.)

And in case you’re looking for a deal, buyers who sign their contracts by the end of March can get $30,000 parking spots for $15,000 a pop, Schnell says.

RMR has also started construction on a condominium project at 118 N Halsted St, according to the company’s Web site. Details of that project will not be available until next month, but Schnell said that homes are slated to have at least 1,500 square feet of floor space and an unobstructed view of downtown.
