Construction is underway on The Courts at Lincoln Square, a 49-unit condo building at 4950 N Western Ave. Unlike some of the other new-construction buildings going up on major streets in the Lincoln Square area, The Courts are happily set back from the sidewalk and guarded by a brick hedge wall and green space. On its Web site, Ruh Realty emphatically touts the absence of retail space as if it were the plague, saying, “they were able to rezone this site to eliminate pre existing commercial zoning status, which means there will be no commercial use whatsoever of this building. No stores, restaurants, light manufacturing, or offices etc. This building will be strictly residential.”
The all residential, all the time development has one- to three-bedroom condos priced from the $280s, and a sales center with a model kitchen and bathroom is located onsite.
