Those figurative crickets continue to chirp at the sites of Mandarin Oriental Tower (above), located at 215 N Stetson Ave, and Waterview Tower, at 111 W Wacker Dr.
We’ve heard very little about Waterview since construction halted there this summer. I did talk to someone close to the Mandarin Oriental project last month, and she insisted that its developers were in it for the long haul. The resumption of work at either of these buildings would make headlines, so if we see anything relevant, we’ll add it to our “Ripped From the Headlines” news feed.
Both towers are designed to have both residential condominiums and five-star hotels. Palladian Development‘s 75-story Mandarin Oriental will comprise 514 units priced from the $550s to $21 million, while Teng & Associates‘ 90-story Waterview is slated to have 478 homes priced from the $810s to $8.8 million.
