River House, on the North Branch of the Chicago River, is lovely jubbly

But wait, there’s more. Yo’s really buzzed about River House. After all, it’s not every day we hear real estate agents wax lyrical about owls, blue herons and beavers. The five-story building has 82 units and is set on two acres. It’s adjacent to Ronan Park, which has river frontage, so buyers will have a lovely big green space between them and the river.

If that’s not outdoorsy enough for you, a walking trail and the North Branch Bicycle Trail also wind through Ronan Park, and apparently there are some good fishing spots farther north. The location is lovely jubbly, as the English would say. See a previous Yo post for some nice pictures of life along the North Branch of the Chicago River.

Architect DesignBridge Ltd drew inspiration from the surrounding environment, giving the building gentle arches that are meant to mimic the wingspan of a gull.

The units come with hardwood floors, granite countertops, walk-in closets, gas fireplaces and in-unit laundries. If you don’t mind a fair-sized walk, the restaurants and shops of Lincoln Square aren’t too far away.
