Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet aren’t the only ones who want to holiday by swapping houses on the cheap with a stranger. We’ll admit to sometimes scanning the house swapping ads ourselves, waiting for just the right moment of kismet in which someone with a fully-furnished house in say, oh, Hawaii wants to swap for our cluttered Chicago apartment (Could Chicago count as a ski town? Do you think a family of six could fit in our one-bedroom apartment? We have a futon).
