The 367-unit apartment tower under construction at 845 North State has been slow to come out of the ground, but that’s true of the lower floors of many high-rises.
The Near North Side building is about to rise above its parking podium and it should begin climbing more quickly toward its full 35-story height. When it’s complete next year, it will include 185 parking spaces and ground-level retail space.
We looked over the construction site several weeks ago from Chestnut Tower, several blocks west of the building. These photos were shot from a 28th floor balcony at 2 W Delaware, a block north of the building, and illustrate how limited the apartment views will be in several directions.
