Sales update: Vetro down to 45 percent

VetroBack in March, Joe noted that sales were slipping at Vetro, Roszak / ADC‘s 31-story tower in the South Loop. It seems that the trend has continued over the past three months.

Now, an agent in the sales center tells me that some contracts have been dropped, bringing current sales figures down to 45 percent. About 50 percent of Vetro’s 232 units were reported to have sold in the spring of 2007, and by November of last year we had learned that 53 percent had been sold. When Joe posted his March update, sales were back at the halfway point.

The sales center recently moved up to the 16th floor in the glassy tower. Studios are priced from the low $200s, and one-, two- and three-bedrooms are priced from the $240s to more than $1 million. A floor plan for a two-bedroom-plus-den “combo unit” that’s listed at 1,248 square feet is below. Most units come with these angled balconies that are called “relax” space on the floor plans.
