Stranger Than Fiction shines a light on Chicago Architecture

Stranger Than Fiction

Beyond proving that Will Ferrell can act, the film Stranger Than Fiction also defies the cliched image of Chicago we’re used to seeing on the big screen. Instead of using stock footage of locations like the Sears Tower or Wrigley Field like most visiting directors, Marc Foster takes great care to highlight the architecture of our past, present and future. Whether it’s the choice of the European-inspired Catedral Cafe in Little Village or some of the bizarre, futuristic buildings on the campus of the University of Illinois-Chicago, Foster and cinematographer Roberto Schaefer have an insider’s eye for Chicago.

The film is available in stores now.
