by Joe Zekas on 3/11/13

The Sun-Times 25th annual Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards, billed as the “Oscars of the local industry,” were announced at a dinner last Thursday night. The sold-out event reportedly drew 1,800 attendees and raised more than $1 million for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

The Development of the Year award for projects completed in 2012 went to Hines Interests for 1225 Old Town, its new 250-unit apartment tower at 1225 N Wells St.
