Few neighborhoods can claim to epitomize Chicago more than Jefferson Park. The Northwest Side community is home to quiet streets, sturdy brick bungalows and family-owned businesses. Historically, immigrants from Poland and elsewhere moved northwest up Milwaukee Avenue as their incomes rose, and when they hit Jefferson Park, they knew they’d made it. Development has long been scarce in Jefferson Park because little land is available, so when a project like Kennedy Estates comes along, neighbors take notice. The new 22-unit condo development sits, as you might have guessed, between the Kennedy and Edens expressways, at 4810 N. Lavergne. One of the primary draws, apart from the stable neighborhood setting, is obviously convenience.
