River North doesn’t lack for much in the way of urban amenities, but public park space is one area that many find to be scarce.
There’s the recently-added 3-acre Montgomery Ward Park, but it’s along the river at the western edge of River North, and it doesn’t offer much in the way of active recreation space for adults.
The scarcity of park space puts a premium on private and semi-private outdoor space, and River North has some attractive ones. The photos are a small sample of what’s available.
